Maryland is one of the smallest US States, but with a enormous historical importance and, due to the average high income of the families, one of the richest states. I don't know much about this state (for example, I confess I thought Baltimore was the capital and not Annapolis) but it really seams a wonderful place to live. Thank you very much Sonya for sending my 18th US State Map Card (only need 32 to get them all). This postcard took 10 days to arrive!
Maryland is a state located in the Mid-Atlantic region of the United States, bordering Virginia, West Virginia, and Washington, D.C. to its south and west; Pennsylvania to its north; and Delaware to its east. Maryland was the seventh state to ratify the United States Constitution, and has three occasionally used nicknames: the Old Line State, the Free State, and the Chesapeake Bay State. Maryland is one of the smallest states in terms of area, as well as one of the most densely populated states of the United States and is also considered to be the birthplace of religious freedom in America.
