Traditional Costumes, Cetinje - MONTENEGRO

The last card that Justine sent me shows a picture of a folklore group in traditional costumes in some kind of display that I can't explain because I wasn't able to find anything online. The postcard was bought in the Ethnographic Museum of Montenegroon the city of Cetinje, the historical capital city of Montenegro and still one of the most important cities in that country. Thank you very much Justine for this extraordinary swap. This postcard took 11 days to arrive!

Montenegrin Traditional Costumes, Cetinje - MONTENEGRO
The Ethnographic Museum of Montenegro was founded in 1951 in Cetinje. It is located in the same square as King Nikola's Palace and the Biljarda. Cetinje is a city and Old Royal Capital of Montenegro. It is also a historical and the secondary capital of Montenegro, with the official residence of the President of Montenegro. Cetinje is a town of immense historical heritage, founded in the 15th century. It became the center of Montenegrin life and both a cradle of Montenegrin culture and a Orthodox religious center.
