The only card of the day came from another of my Postcrossing Forum friends Óscar - he noticed my fast growing map-card collection and wanted to make a contribution with a map of the country he currently lives, but wasn't able to find one he liked until one day he went to... a hardware store(!!!) and found this one looking at him. Thank you very much Óscar for reminding me (one thing I don't understand, why doesn't Crans-Montana appear on the map?). This postcard took 3 days to arrive!
Switzerland, officially the Swiss Confederation (Latin: Confoederatio Helvetica, hence its abbreviation CH), is a federal parliamentary republic consisting of 26 cantons, with Bern as the seat of the federal authorities, the so-called Bundesstadt ("federal city"). The country is situated in Western and Central Europe, where it is bordered by Italy to the south, France to the west, Germany to the north, and Austria and Liechtenstein to the east.
