Adelaide - AUSTRALIA

From "down under" I received today a card from Adelaide, the city where Sami's husband works and a place she often visit (after flying more that 3 hours). It's a smaller city than Perth where she lives and with older constructions (not seen on this aerial view I suppose). Thank you very much Sami for this card, your friendship and your fidelity to my blog. This postcard took 19 days to arrive!

Adelaide (Aerial View) - AUSTRALIA

Named in honour of Adelaide of Saxe-Meiningen, queen consort to King William IV, Adelaide is the capital city of South Australia and the fifth-largest city in Australia. Adelaide is north of the Fleurieu Peninsula, on the Adelaide Plains between the Gulf St Vincent and the low-lying Mount Lofty Ranges which surround the city. The demonym "Adelaidean" is used in reference to the city and its residents.

  1. Pleased you enjoyed the postcard Joao. It's a lovely aerial view of Adelaide, with the Torrens river that divides the North and South of the city.
