From the other side of the world came this extraordinary Map-Card showing the island of Taiwan, with awesome little cartoons (some of them really tiny, I had to use a magnifying glass to see all the details) picturing the main cities and the railway travk that circles all the island. Thank you so much Jehshu-i for this amazing contribution to my Map collection. This postcard took 9 days to arrive!
Railway Map and main cities - TAIWAN
Taiwan, officially the Republic of China, is a state in East Asia. Originally based in mainland China, the Republic of China now governs the island of Taiwan, as well as Penghu, Kinmen, Matsu, and other minor islands. Neighboring states include the People's Republic of China to the west, Japan to the east and northeast, and the Philippines to the south. Taipei is the seat of the central government. The island of Taiwan (formerly known as "Formosa") was mainly inhabited by Taiwanese aborigines until the Dutch and Spanish settlement during the Age of Discovery in the 17th century.
