Golden Gate Bridge, San Francisco - USA

This nice vintage card (from the 80s) shows the magnificent Marin coastline in the foreground with the Golden Gate and the city of San Francisco in the distance. It was sent by Ilona that recently went to California. Thank you very much my dear, I really like the card, normally the Golden Gate cards only show the bridge, I think this is a very nice angle showing the rocky coast. This postcard took 12 days to arrive!

Golden Gate, San Francisco Bay - CA - USA
The Golden Gate Bridge is a suspension bridge spanning the Golden Gate strait, the mile-wide, three-mile-long channel between San Francisco Bay and the Pacific Ocean. The bridge is one of the most internationally recognized symbols of San Francisco, California, and the United States. It has been declared one of the Wonders of the Modern World by the American Society of Civil Engineers. It opened in 1937 and had until 1964 the longest suspension bridge main span in the world, with 1,280 m.
