My 10th US State Map arrived today, sent directly from Las Vegas by Marissa. To be honest, besides Las Vegas and the Hoover Dam I don't know anything about Nevada and looking at the card I wonder... what are those fishes biting the poor old Indian on the bottom? Piranhas in the middle of the desert? (oops, sorry about that, it's not Indian it's Native American...). Thanks a lot Marissa for this nice contribution to my Map card collection. This postcards took 10 days to arrive!
NEVADA Map and Symbols - USA
Nevada is a state in the southwestern region of the United States. Nearly three-quarters of Nevada's people live in Clark County, which contains the Las Vegas–Paradise metropolitan area where the state's three largest incorporated cities are located. Nevada's capital is Carson City. Nevada is officially known as the "Silver State" due to the importance of silver to its history and economy. Nevada is largely desert and semiarid, with much of it located within the Great Basin. The name Nevada is derived from the nearby Sierra Nevada, which means "snow-capped range" in Spanish.
