Garden Kingdom of Dessau-Wörlitz - GERMANY - UNESCO #534

Today I got a envelope with a triple swap I've made some days ago with a German postcrosser - another awesome boost to my UNESCO collection, two WHS and one Tentative. This one shows the Garden Complex of Dessau-Wörlitz, one of the largest gardens in Europe and a place my wife made me promise we'll visit one day (she's crazy about gardens... that's one of the main reasons we go to England so often). Thank you Michaela - 335 down, 646 to go. This postcard took 3 days to arrive!

UNESCO #534 - Garden Kingdom of Dessau-Wörlitz - GERMANY

The Garden Kingdom of Dessau-Wörlitz is an exceptional example of landscape design and planning of the Age of the Enlightenment, the 18th century. Its diverse components - outstanding buildings, landscaped parks and gardens in the English style, and subtly modified expanses of agricultural land - serve aesthetic, educational, and economic purposes in an exemplary manner.
