Barnaul, Siberia - RUSSIA
Another day, another official postcard (I don't get tired of getting them, it's always a wonderful feeling, discovering a new postcard sent by someone, somewher - I only wish I could have more officials traveling) This one came all the way from Siberia, Russia and it shows the Railway Station of Barnaul. Thank you Julia and best of luck to your studies in Linguistics. This postcard took 25 days to arrive!
Barnaul is a city and the administrative center of Altai Krai, Russia. The city lies along the Ob River in the West Siberian Plain. It is the closest major city to the Altai Mountains to the south. Barnaul is also situated relatively close to the border with the countries of Kazakhstan, Mongolia, and China.
