The Speyer Cathedral - GERMANY - UNESCO #168

The third official card from Germany it's from a UNESCO World Heritage Site that I already have a postcard, but even so I'm very glad I got this one because this photography is simply amazing! Here we can see the majestic 1000 years old cathedral with the Rhine river on the back. Thank you so much Uwe for picking this card for me and I also hope you can have a good 2014. This postcard took 12 days to arrive!

UNESCO #168 - Speyer Cathedral - GERMANY

Speyer Cathedral, a basilica with four towers and two domes, was founded by Conrad II in 1030 and remodelled at the end of the 11th century. It is one of the most important Romanesque monuments from the time of the Holy Roman Empire. The cathedral was the burial place of the German emperors for almost 300 years.
