Independence Hall, Philadelphia - PA - USA - UNESCO #78

Last month I've made a swap of a postcard whith Congress Hall in Philadelphia (wrongly thinking it was the UNESCO site). After realizing my mistake, I managed to arrange a new swap, this time of the correct building... the Independence Hall (only a few meters from Congress Hall). Thank you very much Kelly for this beautiful card, showing not only Independence Hall but also the statue of the founding father George Washington. Now I finnaly have the UNESCO WHS, the 264th in my collection (717 to finish). This postcard took 16 days to arrive!
UNESCO #78 - The Independence Hall, Philadelphia - PA- USA
Independence Hall in Philadelphia may be considered the birthplace of the United States of America. The Declaration of Independence (1776) and the Constitution of the United States (1787) were both signed in this building in Philadelphia. The universal principles of freedom and democracy set forth in these documents are of fundamental importance to American history and have also had a profound impact on law-makers around the world.
