Ternopil - UKRAINE

The second official card I recieve today came from Ukraine and more than a beautiful card picturing the city of Ternopil (I love the general design of this card, specially the red white and blue striped border, like the old Air Mail envelopes used to have) it's a edition made for POSTCROSSING, with a space for the official code and the message "Happy Postcrossing" written on the back with curly letters - it's good to see the influence that this project has on postcard and stamp publications, and it makes sense if you think that the 20 million postcards send with this site is about to be reached. Thank you very much Yanka for this beautiful postcard. This postcard took 17 days to arrive!

Welcome to Ternopil - UKRAINE

Ternopil is a city in western Ukraine, located on the banks of the Seret River. Ternopil is one of the major cities of Western Ukraine and the historical region of Galicia. It is served by Ternopil Airport. The city was founded in 1540 as a military stronghold and a castle.
