Reflections, Manchester - ENGLAND

This official card came from Manchester (glory glory Man United!) but it was written by a portuguese PhD student that lives there since 2010. I've never been to Manchester, but according to her message it's a fast growing city and a important new financial and economic cluster in England (the BBC has moved from London to Manchester). Thank you very much Emanuela and good luck with your PhD. This postcard took 16 days to arrive!

Manchester is a city and metropolitan borough in England with an estimated population of 512,000. It lies within the Greater Manchester Built-up Area, the United Kingdom's second most populous urban area. Manchester is located in the south-central part of North West England, fringed by the Cheshire Plain to the south and the Pennines to the north and east, and an arc of towns with which it forms a continuous conurbation. The local authority is Manchester City Council, and the city's inhabitants are referred to as Mancunians.
