Huanglong Scenic Area, Sichuan - CHINA - UNESCO #638

Another amazing photo of a natural treasure in China (simply incredible some landscapes you have there) taken in a UNESCO WHS, Huanglong in the province of Sichuan (yes, the same of the Pandas). Thank you very much Xiaomomo and let me give in advance my congratulations on yout university graduation. Ok now, as for my collection, 191 down, only 790 to go. This postcard took 12 days to arrive!

UNESCO #638 - Huanglong Scenic Area - CHINA

Situated in the north-west of Sichaun Province, the Huanglong valley is made up of snow-capped peaks and the easternmost of all the Chinese glaciers. In addition to its mountain landscape, diverse forest ecosystems can be found, as well as spectacular limestone formations, waterfalls and hot springs. The area also has a population of endangered animals, including the giant panda and the Sichuan golden snub-nosed monkey.
