Breda - NETHERLANDS

It's always a nice feeling when you receive a card from a place you've already visited, because it triggers all the memories of that trip. Recently I've made a road trip though the Netherlands and Breda was one of the stops and there I've learned to enjoy the Burgundian way of life - all of that came to me when I saw this official shaped card. Thank you very much Hilly. This postcard took 8 days to arrive!

Breda City Center - NETHERLANDS

Breda is a municipality and a city in the southern part of the Netherlands. The name Breda derived from brede Aa ('wide Aa') and refers to the confluence of the rivers Mark and Aa. As a fortified city, the city was of strategic military and political significance. Breda is a center of the food- and drinking industry in Holland. The city center contains old buildings and portions of the singels (moats) and the harbour. Focal point is the Grote Markt, the main square with pubs and sidewalk cafés.
