Space Shuttle and Mir in orbit - USA

Space, the final frontier!... Is there anyone who never wished in travelling into space? Like every children, I had the dream of becoming na astronaut and used to sit in front of the TV watching in delight to the Space Shuttle launchings. This fantastic photo shows Atlantis connected to the Space Station Mir and was taken by a Russian cosmonaut fom the crew of a Soyuz spacecraft... simply amazing. This awesome postcard was sent by Luis that lives in Houston, Texas, only 5 minutes from the Space Center - Thank you so much! This postcard took 13 days to arrive!

Space Shuttle Atlantis connected to Mir Space Station - OUTER SPACE

Mir was a space station that operated in low Earth orbit from 1986 to 2001, owned at first by the Soviet Union and then by Russia. Mir was the first modular space station and was assembled in orbit.

The Space Shuttle Atlantis was a orbiter belonging to NASA, the spaceflight and space exploration agency of the United States. Atlantis was the fourth operational (and the next-to-the-last) Space Shuttle to be constructed,  it was delivered in April 1985.
