Yellow Butterfly - LITHUANIA

This beautiful butterfly fled all the way from Lithuania (my first postcard from there!)... it must be tired I'm sure, but it will rest now in my postcard collection. Thank you very much Jolanta - I love this type of photography... I try a lot to make something alike, with butterflies or bees, but the damn bugs keep moving!

A butterfly is a mainly day-flying insect of the order Lepidoptera, which includes the butterflies and moths. Like other holometabolous insects, the butterfly's life cycle consists of four parts: egg, larva, pupa and adult. Most species are diurnal. Butterflies have large, often brightly coloured wings, and conspicuous, fluttering flight.
