A walk on the beach of Calais - GERMANY

This official POSTCROSSING card came from Germany but it shows the famous French Calais beach, very important in WWII and the main port for the ferry between UK and France. Thank you very much Florian, I love the sea as well and I really hope you had a wonderful time in your holidays in France. This postcard took 5 days to arrive!

Lonely Steps on the Beach, Calais - FRANCE
Calais is a town and major ferry port in northern France in the department of Pas-de-Calais, of which it is a sub-prefecture. Due to its position, Calais since the Middle Ages has been a major port and a very important centre for transport and trading with England.
