Tower Bridge, London - ENGLAND

The second card Ana sent me from London is a very nice pic of the famous Tower Bridge (I asked for Tower of London, but no stresses Ana - it may not be a UNESCO site but it's a wonderful place and you've picked a beautiful card - thanks a lot). Let's sing all together "London Bridge is falling down, falling down, falling down"!... This postcard took 7 days to arrive!

Tower Bridge, London - ENGLAND

Tower Bridge (built 1886–1894) is a combined bascule and suspension bridge in London, over the River Thames. It consists of two towers tied together at the upper level by means of two horizontal walkways and it is close to the Tower of London (therefore its name). The bridge The bridge's present colour scheme dates from 1977, when it was painted red, white and blue for the Queen Elizabeth II's silver jubilee. Originally it was painted a mid greenish-blue colour. It has become an iconic symbol of London.
