Gros Morne National Park - CANADA - UNESCO #419

My friend Jason sent me another card from Gros Morne in Newfoundland, Canada - this time a summer view of the Western Brook Gorge, a extremely long river (like a fjord) that he ride on boat with his 3 year old children (cool dad!)... thanks a lot Jason, the counting still stands 47 down, 915 to go, but now I got two different perspectives of this beautiful national park. Canadian mail keeps surprising me... This postcard took 3 days to arrive!

UNESCO #419 - Gros Morne (Western Brook Gorge) - CANADA

Situated on the west coast of the island of Newfoundland, the park provides a rare example of the process of continental drift, where deep ocean crust and the rocks of the earth's mantle lie exposed. More recent glacial action has resulted in some spectacular scenery, with coastal lowland, alpine plateau, fjords, glacial valleys, sheer cliffs, waterfalls and many pristine lakes.
