Eiffel Tower, Paris (Banks of the Seine) - FRANCE - UNESCO #600

Paris, the magnificent Paris, probably the most well know city in the world - everybody wants to visit it and many achieve that wish! I've been there several times and every time I find something new. Walking along the banks of the Seine fills your eyes and spirit - there's so much to see and absorb! This is my first card of Paris, sent by Sabrina (merci beaucoup!) with a reproduction of a vintage photo of the Eifel Tower - definitively the best way to start a Paris collection! Since the banks of the Seine are a UNESCO site, my counting rises to 70, only 911 (again the porsche) to go. This postcard took 4 days to arrive!

UNESCO #600 - Eiffel Tower, Paris - FRANCE

From the Louvre to the Eiffel Tower, from the Place de la Concorde to the Grand and Petit Palais, the evolution of Paris and its history can be seen from the River Seine. The Cathedral of Notre-Dame and the Sainte Chapelle are architectural masterpieces while Haussmann's wide squares and boulevards influenced late 19th- and 20th-century town planning the world over.
