Duomo, Milan - ITALY

Last week, my older sister went to Milan, Italy to attend a medical congress (imagine what I asked for!). To my surprise, both the postcards she sent arrived today (rare quick delivery). In this card we can see the amazing Milan cathedral that dominates all the central area where other major city trademarks like the opera-house and the Galleria Vittorio Emanuele II, the world's oldest shopping mall. I've been there a couple of times, an awesome site - thanks a lot Susana! This postcard took 4 days to arrive!

Milan Cathedral (Duomo di Milano) - ITALY

An exceptionally large and elaborate Gothic cathedral on the main square of Milan, the Duomo di Milano is one of the most famous buildings in Europe. Dedicated to Santa Maria Nascente (Saint Mary Nascent), it is the largest Gothic cathedral and the second largest Catholic cathedral in the world. The cathedral took nearly six centuries to complete.
