Mount Lushan - CHINA - UNESCO #778

Today I had a very special package from China... Jane send me two gorgeous cards of Mount Lushan, one of the Hanpo Pass in the winter and the other of the Flower Path in the spring - what an amazing place! In the envelope there was also a nice letter and a beautiful and perfect origami heart... thanks a lot Jane, you've made my day! So with this two cards I now have 21 UNESCO sites, only 941 remaining. This postcard took 34 days to arrive!

Mount Lushan, in Jiangxi, is one of the spiritual centres of Chinese civilization. Rising 1474 meters above sea level, it covers a total area of 282 square kilometers. Buddhist and Taoist temples, along with landmarks of Confucianism, where the most eminent masters taught, blend effortlessly into a strikingly beautiful landscape which has inspired countless artists who developed the aesthetic approach to nature found in Chinese culture.
