Kerch embankment - Crimeia - UKRAINE

This is the third postcard Valya sent me, this time of the Kerch embankment, also at Crimea, Ukraine - thank you! This postcard took 8 days to arrive!

Kerch is the main city on the Kerch Peninsula of eastern Crimea, an important industrial, transport and tourist centre of Ukraine. It is considered one of the most ancient cities in Ukraine, founded 2600 years ago. The site of ancient Panticapaeum city on Mount Mithridat has been systematically excavated. Kerch takes part in UNESCO's "Silk Road" programme. Treasures and historical findings of Kerch adorn the collections of major museums around the world. Such as: the Hermitage, the Louvre, the British Museum, the Berlin Museum, the Moscow State Museum of fine arts and many others.
